Suspect rear wheel bearings shot. I understand you need to change the complete hub? How easy and what's needed?

Is it an easy home diy job and if so what's involved plus tools

Local main dealer wants over £500 for the pleasure!!

Thanks in advance

I haven't seen the design on the Czs but when you say full hub do you mean the complete bearing with flange or the actual knuckle?

Thanks for the reply.
Not too sure to be honest I just know that you can't just change the actual bearing. Just had a look on you tube and I'm fairly sure it's wheel, disk, calliper off then you need to remove the hub itself which houses the sealed bearings? I'm no mechanic though so may go find an independent garage

its not too difficult a job to do I did mine once you have removed the calliper and discs the hub is a complete unit and is held on to the axle with 4 M10 bolts with 16 mm heads and a small torx screw holds the ABS sensor to the hub can look up the SKF part number so you can search online for the best deal on your hubs I think it was something like SKF VKBA 3685 but will check and post when I find out
Looks like about 65 a side but if you do a search on that part number you can find the best deal :winkthumb
