if anyone has any interest in performance lightweight batteries then im looking at getting one so might as well do a group buy, i think it should be easily possible to get the battery, automotive adapter terminals and postage for under £100 if we can get a few wanting them

if i can get a good idea of numbers then i can do some emails and get the best price i can!

the one i have been looking at is the Odyssey PC545

please add your name below if interested

nice one, which would you think would be best for a colt which is a weight improvement over stock while still giving enough power

any of them will be better weight wise to the stock battery for the money the bb battery and red top 15 would be better weight x AH for your money

plus the red top 15 you can get the bracket if you need it:

http://www.varleyredtop.com/products_mounting.htm

il see if the red top 25 bracket with hold the bb battery as well if people want it :thumbu

il get prices tomorrow if i say for 5 people il see what i can do plus with the terminal cones as well :winkthumb

Interested if its going to be Varley RT's - maybe for more than 1.

an you get a price on Red Top 30 too please - this seems to be the one advised for rally cars - at least its what they guys on British Rally Forum (mines a rally car) seem to recommend. Advice from your work much appreciated.

I've put my name down for one of Martins BB batteries now, That oddesy one has a bit higher current and is a bit lighter but it's twice the price so the BB seems a good deal :thumbu

The courier (arranged by me) has just dropped mine off - many thanks tintin.

Seems heavy but then batteries do, and I know compared to the battery I have on there's a huge weight saving.

Am considering putting it in the passenger footwell on the back of the foot rest (its a rally car). This will shorten the cable runs and simplify wiring the cut out in etc - nothing to do with weight distribution, weights wanted over the driven axle really after all.
