Yeh i will take a few pics, I've done it in the same red as ur pics, to go with the colour scheme of my Colt (White and Red) looks really go, cheap and easy mod.

Yeh i did mine about 5 times before i was completly happy with it.
I found when taking the excess wax off when rubbing it on paper is to go round it circles not side to side, wax fell out wen i rubbed side to side.

I'd do it if i didnt already purchase a sparco gearknob, priced at £45.99 and scanned through the till at £14.99, that was a great day :D
But wow, that is prety creative and awsome, will deffo keep it in mind for future refference and for friends etc...

Yeh Im gonna be making the short shifter soon, well cud u take a pic of urs for me? I was gonna take the stick out and put it on a laith the get rid of that lip jus below the threads. and then re-tap and put the old knob back on. But if ur surgestin an aftermarket knob, then which 1 and how do i get go about it?

aftermarket knobs will fit as they attach by small allen key screws, il go take a pic of mine and post up a pic later
as for buying a new knob i sell a range of them and alloy pedal covers etc

Done this mod today, well easy and good results. cracking idea you had there bud. i also done the lettering on my steering wheel. just that little detailed high light makes such a differance. :winkthumb :winkthumb

just abit more info. the clear coat on top, does it make it slippy? if so ill just mask up around it. and how did u remove the excess?

also when i do it u mind if i rob the idea and bang it on the poc how tos. ill give u full credit obviously
